Cooks Venture and its associated farms make lofty claims about animal welfare and sustainability but requests to tour their operations were ignored. They don't want you to see the truth.

All you see from Google Earth is rows and rows of giant grow houses and no areas for chickens to pasture. But even if they did pasture, they would be easily killed off by predators so that's a bad outcome also.

This industry is notorious for humanewashing and greenwashing its way into the consumer's conscience. Don't be fooled by all of the rhetoric.

Chicken on a whole other level. Cooks Venture has the highest quality and best tasting poultry and beef on the market. You won’t find a better price for the quality of the product. No antibiotics and pasture raised. Quality over quantity has always been important to me. I trust Cooks Venture in providing the best quality meat selections delivered right to my door step. You won’t be disappointed!!

This company provides poultry with the taste and texture that reminds me of Sunday dinner at my Granny's. Her chickens were not the monster-sized birds of indistinguishable flavor found in today's grocery stores, but small, succulent and tender birds served up fresh from the yard. Just try the heirloom chicken from this company, and get a taste of how chicken is supposed to be!

The quality and taste of this chicken is amazing. Do yourself a favor and sign up. Once you eat it you’ll never want to eat the other brands. The customer service and shipping is top notch. I cannot recommend enough.

The chicken is AMAZING! The problem is in their packaging. I bought a box and immediately upon opening I could smell the sausages that I purchased as part of my haul. They were no longer vacuum sealed and had a small hole in the bag. When I examined the other packages, I found a large hole in one of the chicken thighs. These two went right in my fridge to defrost and cook first.

The rest I put in my freezer. Each item I took out had to go in a new ziplock bag while defrosting because the packages leak chicken liquids/goo all over the fridge if you don’t. So the packaging is also defective on the items that I didn’t notice issues with.

This is NOT an inexpensive product…quite the opposite. If I’m going to purchase a specialty product like this at a premium price, I expect that the packaging will be adequate to protect my product from freezer burn and my fridge from soil. The current packaging does none of these things.

Further more, when I contacted them all they could tell me was that it’s still safe to eat even if the package is ripped. They did not seem concerned with quality control. If this company cannot be concerned with the quality control of their packaging, and are cutting corners by using cheap, inferior packaging, where else are they skimping on quality and quality control. At no point was I offered a coupon or a replacement for my items with torn packaging, so customer service is also lacking compared to other companies.

Even though the chicken here is superior, I will not be reordering…at least until they have fixed this issue.

Well, I'm 38 years old, and for the 1st time I'm building retirement in a 401K, I have health and Dental. I make a very liveable wage and benefits/full vacation from day one. I never had to utter an argument for any of these benefits, In a time where the moto is employees are like tires, wear them out and get new ones, CVP def stands apart and will always have my loyalty.

Very horrible place to work for, Management is very horrible, the place has no money to better itself...they say you Will get a sign on bonus or a referral bonus but you never do.No one ever talks about getting any kind of raise. All in all I did not like working for this company,Would not recommend it unless you like Working like a slave for nothing.
