From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted and given a menu. Asked if we needed any help deciding or if we had any questions about the menu. The cashier was friendly. The food was served super fast. Food was fresh, the right temperature and the servous was great.

I should have made this review sooner, better late than never. *This review is for a June 2022 wedding.*
We had Taco Mama cater our wedding, honestly I am not too sure it was the Trussville location, but it is the location closest to me and I would be happy to provide an additional review if needed.
We were looking for something simple for our wedding. Everyone loves Tacos and a lot of our friends love Taco Mama. We had a great experience. No issues with the delivery, perfect timing. The food was great, we did the taco and nacho bar. As expected, everyone loved it.

I had a fantastic dining experience here. Both the drinks & food were delicious!!! The Pomegranate Margarita with a Sugar Rim was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! The Shrimp & Steak Quesadilla and Build Your Own Grilled Fish Tacos were Divine!!!! Great time...Great Vibe!!

I am giving them a four rating. Why? So, everyone has been telling me, I need to go to Taco Mama???? in Trussville and take the kiddos. I was really curious what the restaurant hype was all about and the magnetic force driving my family and friends to this eatery. I had to see for myself.
Since, it was my off day. I took the ride. Calling this dinner outing mommy and son time.
I must say my son and I had a good experience. Though, I must acknowledge some minor flaws that bothered my pet peeves. Below is a breakdown of pros, cons, and pic’s.

Pros:

Food is tasty and freshly served

Meals served promptly

Variety of dishes

Variety of liquor beverages and Coca Cola fountain machine

Polite servers

Knowledgeable and professional

Friendly atmosphere

Ambiance align with theme

Handicap accessible

Conventional clean in reference to traffic coming in and out

Cons:

Menu pamphlets are stained

Only one cashier

Customers will stand behind one another closely. Can I say alligator ???? length. It was a little uncomfortable. (Also, no signs requiring distance between customers in line)

Not so spacious dining inside (tables are close in proximity) no private conversations amongst customers ????

Pricey for the inadequate serving of meat to nacho chips ratio. This goes for burritos as well. It’s kind of disappointing because the food is good. ????????

The food was just meh. I had a chorizo burrito and it didn't taste authentic. My wife's bowl was also just ok and a friend who dined with us got a quesadilla which looked like something you could make at home. I expected better for a $70 bill. Despite the food, the place was packed. The highlight was the staff. Everyone was very good and friendly.

We’ll run Taco Mama location! Proud to have this place in Trussville. You can always count on consistent service here. The client bowl is always delicious. There is nothing on this menu that isn’t delicious!

Came for lunch and everything was great until my boyfriend bit into a hard piece of plastic that was in his burrito bowl, got the young ladies attention that was on the floor refilling drinks and busting tables, showed her, she went and told the manager, then told us he was remaking the order, we didn't want the order remade or money back. The least the manager could have done is speak with us or apologize. Shame on you for not making the effort in a business where customer service is a must.

This was my second time having Taco Mama. The first time I had a burrito from another location and I did not care for it. This time I ordered their nachos (should've did that my first visit). I am now proud to say, I am a fan of Taco Mama. When I visited/dined they were not busy at all, so customer service was great. I hope that their service and food is just as good at other times too. Will be back.
