The pork was so dry we couldn't eat it. The waitress forgot to put in our appetizer and ignored us when we complained about the dry pork. She was rude and absent for most of our time there. Service was incredibly slow. It was all around a terrible experience! It would have been more productive and satisfying to light $70 on fire. *EDITED to say Corporate reached out and is sending me $100 in gift cards so we can try again, or try a different location. Their customer service is amazing! Hopefully they can bring the Gardendale location up to their standards.

Wow.. I couldn’t have stopped anywhere else to enjoy such a great meal while on the road! Everything was amazing! Service, food, the atmosphere, everything! I would have to say this was the best Bar-B-Q I’ve had from a chain restaurant! The barbecue sauce tasted extremely unique and delicious!

The food was AMAZING! The brisket was phenomenal. The burgers were tasty. The pig on a bun with the white sauce were out of this world. The onion rings are always a great choice. Unique amd scrumptious cheese biscuit/muffins.

Placed curbside pickup order at 6:50pm, arrived and checked in, like the sign and email says, at 7:20pm. Friday night and the parking lot is 1/4 full (I know why now). Waited a while for them to bring it out, again, like the sign and email says. Checked in again after about 15 mins…nothing. Checked in again at 7:40. At 7:50 (an hour after placing the order) I went inside to cancel the order and it had been sitting on the counter since 7:12. I asked if they no longer do curbside and the snarky bar tender gave me 2 poor excuses. She was very disrespectful and called me “baby” 3 times in a condescending and patronizing way. I am a grown @$$-man…don’t call me stupid pet names! The food was not fit to eat after having sat in a bag for over an hour by the time I got home. I prepaid a tip with the expectation that they would bring the food out, like the sign and email says, and treat me with a very basic minimal level of respect, neither of which happened.

Fries were good, catfish not cooked enough but they did a re-do with another full meal at no extra cost and 2nd round was much better. Everyone was thru eating when I finally got it but it was so hot I burned my tongue so had to go slow. Cheese muffins delicious. Collard greens very good. Our friends seemed to enjoy their food. Waitress very nice. I never got a drink refill. We'll try again sometime.

Jim 'N Nick's in Gardendale provides consistently good food and service. I could smell the BBQ from the parking lot. This is real BBQ that is served here.

My favorite dish here is usually the barbeque pork sandwich with corn on the cob. Other sides are available—probably french fries are the most popular—but the corn always sounds like a healthier alternative.

On our latest visit, my dining companion ordered a pig in the garden salad. It had a large serving of BBQ pork on top of the salad (see photo). The lettuce and other ingredients were very fresh.

I had my favorite dish--the BBQ pork sandwich and corn on the cob. The pork was tender and moist. I added a little more of the BBQ sauce and was pleasantly surprised that the bun had a different flavor than in the past. It was very fresh and apparently a potato bun. At any rate, the sandwich was excellent.

Stephanie was our server. She was quiet but did a good job. She kept the iced tea glasses refilled and quickly provide a carry-out box for the remainder of the salad.

For those with a larger appetite, I recommend banana pudding. What BBQ restaurant worthy of the genre does not have banana pudding. It is a standard offering and the pudding here has always been excellent.

The ambiance is relaxing. Beer, wine, and drinks are available. The wine list is limited. And, while I like a nice glass of full-bodied cabernet, accompanying a BBQ pork sandwich does not seem quite right. The iced tea also has good flavor.

This was the best barbecue I've ever had I'm from North Carolina and this was our first time in Alabama it was amazing I ordered a small pulled pork plate two sides I got small and corn it was amazing
