Great barbecue at very reasonable prices. I got a brisket plate, and the brisket was very tender with just enough smoke and seasoning at half the price of what many places charge for brisket. The staff was very friendly as well. I would be a regular here if only I lived closer to Fayette.

While working a long day out of town, I happen to stumble upon this small hometown bbq joint and couldn’t pass it up without a try.

The prices were very reasonable.
(perhaps even below average)
I ordered the large pork sandwich with fries & sweet tea. The wait was about ten minutes as all fried food is made to order. (I can respect that)

I was very impressed with the serving size! The sandwich was huge and fries spilled off the plate. I ordered my sandwich all the way with pickles & slaw.
When it comes to bbq, I would consider myself quite the critic. This was hands down the best bbq sandwich that I have had in a very long time!!!
They have a house mustard sauce which I absolutely loved. Mustard sauce is kinda rare in our area and these folks have perfected it!

If I had to criticize one thing it would be the cheap frozen crinkle fries. When you’re turning out meat as good as they are, it should be complemented by a fresh cut steakhouse fry.

I will make it a point to stop by every time I’m in the area.

Great place to eat. We ordered a rib plate, pulled pork, and a fish sandwich. All were excellent. Highly recommend eating there if you are in town or just passing through.

Traveling through and got a local recommendation to try sam's. I'm so glad I did!! I usually don't like smoked BBQ because it's too smokey or tough from overcooking. However, sam's was right on point! It is honestly the best smoked BBQ I've ever had. Got the ribs and wings combo with 2 sides. Very filling. I prefer baby back ribs, but these style were the best I've had. Very tender and juicy, even the bites that looked tough were tender and delicious. Wings were also tender and lots of flavor. Recommend the miles sauce and cheese tot things. Staff was full of very kind and helpful ladies. Such a great experience and I'll be sure to return when I can.

I ordered the smoked wings and fried crawfish tails. It was very good. I wanted to order boiled crawdads but can only buy by the bag, and it was $50. Can't get it by the pound.

Some of the best smoked wings and tenders I’ve ever had in my life! The plates are full for the price! All of the sides are flavorful. Most of all, their customer service is unmatched!

My family has been eating at Sam's for 10+ years. It is a favorite place to grab and go. Our boys loves the smoked wings. Great service and Great food. Highly recommend.

First time and probably my last time eating here. Did a call in order. The food was ready for pick up. The staff was very friendly. I got two Brisket sandwiche plates. I think it was actually pot roast. The meat was stringy and looked like it was boiled. It had no smoke flavor at all. I've never had stringy brisket before now. Plus no smoke ring at all. As I said it looked and tasted boiled pot rost.
