Food is okay. When it’s the literal only option for Chinese food within 30+ minutes it’s fine in the most mediocre of ways.
First off: they have a sign saying there is a 5% increase on food, the actual change is closer to around 20%. They have the old menu price online, they also have the old menus in the store. The only place the new menu is is on the wall. Their previous sesame chicken combo was 8.65 and it is now 10.45…way more than 5%. I’m guessing either no one has noticed, did the math, or cared enough. While this isn’t a big deal it’s not honest. Second “issue” is that it’s no longer a buffet. Your name is literally the #1 Chinese Buffet….a buffet with no buffet.
Like I said….for being the only option it’s okay. 5/10.

Can't call yourself a buffet if it's not a buffet. ordered fried rice but it was still mostly white. There was hardly any "fried" part to it. The Rangoons were very tough and lacked any flavor. And what kind of Chinese restaurant does not have orange chicken? The hot and spicy chicken was ok. Too many errors. I may try again in a month or so and see if its different.

They are not friendly at all and make you want to wait until you go to Columbus or Dothan to eat chinese food.

The general tsos chicken, was slimy and it smelled like a dog when they have gotten wet and need a bath. Another lady met me on her way out and said her food was nasty too. This doesnt look nothing like chicken.

I went in and ordered my food it came up to twelve and some change on my receipt but my card was charged 14 so I asked why I wasn't mad I wasn't upset I was just wondering if there was a hold for some reason or what when I showed proof the man got upset with me and started yelling and throwing his hands in my face when I asked for refund on the food I haven't even opened yet he refused and made me get out kept my receipt and I didn't get to keep the food so eat there if you want but as for me I will not and if the man ever puts his hands in my face again I promise he will never use that hand again

***I have had to update my review…
*****Recently, they have opened their doors for to go orders again. I walked up to the counter and placed my order. I watched the cook (no gloves) grab noodles out with his bare hands and toss them in a skillet. He proceeds to wipe his forehead with the same hand, and never once again washed his hands. He continued to grab food out with his bare hands and toss it in the skillet. Absolutely disgusting, and unsanitary. The health department should investigate this location.
As far as the food goes, it is always delicious!! I will say, I have had some concerns with the way the staff cleans. That is the reason for 4 stars. No. 1 is a staple in our town, and I have always enjoyed eating here. I 100% respect and appreciate how they have adapted with the proper safety protocols due to COVID. I look forward to being able to return to dine in, eventually!
