I read this place was recently voted the best pulled pork in Alabama. So we traveled almost 2.5 hours to try it. They didn't lie. When I opened the box I thought, "Oh my!" It looked beautiful and the taste...I can hardly describe it. It was one of those experiences where you're tasting something you've never had before and you realize it's something special. My wife and I had the sampler: pork, beef, chicken, and ribs. The pork was tender with a lovely smoke and had a deep flavor when eaten with the sweet bbq sauce. I can see why it was voted the state's best. We actually thought the chicken and ribs were better. Both had incredible smoke flavor and tenderness while staying moist. The ribs had a delicious bark and the chicken skin was crispy like a chip. It was amazing! I didn't know you could get a crispy skin from smoking it. It was a beautiful experience and I loved every bite. If you're a barbecue fanatic, JJ's is worth the drive from wherever you live.

Best Barbecue we've ever had. Drive here 40+ miles from Dothan, it is that good. Our faves are the chicken, the ribs, and the beans. And their sauce is amazing. Do be prepared to wait a bit and it is take-out only.

Great rib plate beans and coleslaw. 12 for 4 ribs and 2 side. Baked potato is great too. Sauce is not bad compared to the rest of USA. Definitely on my top 10 in BBQ for small town places

Very good BBQ .... I've only been once so far but the ribs (get 'em with sauce on the side) are the best I've had in area. The Boston Butt and the Chicken are mighty fine too. The Texas toast was so good you would be satisfied eating just that. The rice was perfect. The cole slaw was an 8 out of 10. The potato salad was a little different but good. Big portions ... You get your money's worth.

I went to JJ's a week ago and ordered the rib plate with cole slaw and potato salad. The ribs were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of char on the meat. The cole slaw was okay, but not remarkable. Surprisingly, the potato salad was the star of this meal. It was easily the best potato salad I've ever had in my life... and growing up in the south, I have had some potato salad. Now I can't wait to try more of their offerings. I definitely recommend JJ's.

Jj’s bbq is phenomenal! We drive 25 minutes just to get GREAT bbq! The bbq sweet potato is our FAVORITE! The owner and her staff are super friendly! It’s locally owned and the food is served with love! You can tell when someone’s heart is into good food. We love this place and support Mrs. Walker 100%. Keep doing what you are doing and the sky is the limit! We love the JJ’s BBQ FAMILY!????

Hands-down the best barbecue you can get. It tastes like the old Timey barbecue we used to get years ago. The staff is always very friendly. Excellent customer service. We frequently eat from this place. Everything that we have ordered has been delicious.
