In town for business and came here on a recommendation. It was actually the second choice but the first choice was closed and I am glad because the service was good, the drinks were fantastic and the food was delicious. Everything tasted great and I will return when I am back in town.

I picked this restaurant because I love historic buildings that have been lovingly taken care of and turned into shops and restaurants. This turned out to be the perfect choice. We are on the second floor and the Ambience was wonderful complete with live music. The food was also exceptional. The chef is definitely talented. I look forward to visiting again.

Nice experience! Came on a Tuesday evening and enjoyed the quiet weeknight vibe. Staff is nice, food very good. Enjoyed the pecan crusted trout and peach fried pie!

Had business dinner here with 3 collegues. The She-Crab soup was the best on my order. My entree was disappointing. Order my filet mignon, medium, but it was served well done with slight pink once I cut down the middle. Server quoted $30, but on the check the charge was $35. Mashed potatoes were cold and barely warm at the middle. I'm thinking a party of 4, my meal must have been finished first so that is why such bad quality of my meal.

Service was good. They were busy upstairs and did their best to check in on our group. For me, this is a skip. I've had better.

It’s been 5 years since my last visit, but sadly, Simp’s has gone downhill. My wife and I walked in shortly after opening and were greeted by a responsive hostess and server. Unfortunately, after that is where things went downhill. My she crab soup was luke-warm, at best, and my wife’s salad was riddled with brown and wilted greens. Our entrees took 50 minutes to arrive. My fish entree was mildly warm with cold grits and gravy. My wife’s beef tenderloin was clearly fresh from the grill without any time allowed for it to rest. I also asked for cloth napkins when our food arrived, but only one arrived, after we had finished with our meals.
I’ll give it another go in another 4-6 months; hopefully tonight was just a bad night.

The 5 stars is purely for one of THE best servers I have ever had. Food is adequate, the manager was...
I came here with the Decatur Dinner Club and Mikey Sherman made our experience beyond exceptional. If you dine here, request Mikey.

We stop in at least once a week or every two weeks. The Speegle or a steak is my top go to entrees. Entire staff is lovely and very attentive. Great place for a date or just to hop in for a few drinks!

Service was very attentive. Food was very good. Staff is aware of celiac disease and gluten-free safety and practices. Gluten-free pizza appetizer was so good. My non-celiac friend loved it as well. Said he couldn't tell that it was gluten-free.
