Reminded me of places I use to eat with my grandfather (not of a MIM winner). Pork was ok. Brisket was less than spectacular (see pic). I love the nostalgia; however, if you’ve eaten any of the Texas meccas you’ll be sorely disappointed. I travel for a living and routinely seek out bbq. I’ve had some incredible bites in various cities. This place still has an old soul and I’m sure it carries some wonderful memories for locals. I would dine here again based solely on the historical experience of this place.

A wonderful BBQ joint!
This place is very well known in this area (northern part of Alabama that is).
My friend had Beef Brisket Platter and I had Ribs Platter. Both were really good but I think Brisket is better. I think I’ll have brisket next time I go there.
I don’t think anyone needs my recommendation for everyone loves this place but I do recommend this place!

Everything is always delicious!
We always have to stop by when we are traveling to or from Huntsville.
The meat is fresh, the staff is friendly, and they have some amazing desserts.
I usually go for the loaded baked potato or turkey sandwich.
Definitely recommended.

It's good. I got the Pulled Pork entree. The pork was a bit dry, so I had to add sauce to it. I believe BBQ should never need sauce..though the Red Sauce n White Sauce were good. The sides were awesome great. The service was wonderful, and the prices were not terrible.
Now for dessert. The coconut cream pie was absolutely amazing and is a must have when u go to Big Bob's.
Overall I liked it and will eat there again, it's just not quite a 5 star for me. I give it 4.

Grabbed lunch on parade day in Decatur. Couldn’t have been better. Short wait when we arrived. I got unsweetened tea with Lil Bob Sampler and my wife got loaded potato and brisket platter. Loaded potato is a meal in itself. Chicken and brisket were amazing. Turkey was very good too. Greens were the best i have ever had. Must try.

Restaurant was inviting and service was excellent. Very family friendly. The food was delivered hot and surprisingly fast. Everything tasted great, however, the portions were small given the high prices, especially the brisket. Because of the prices, we might go back for a special occasion, but this wouldn't be a regular place to drop in and grab a bite.

My parents and I went We wanted loaded potatoes but apparently there was none then they sat a person next to him and he ordered a loaded potatoes and he got his. We got a waitress and told her we did not want the food and how come she said there was none when there clearly was. Then she came back and told us we could only get one since we already got our food. We told her we did not want the food In the first place she got the manager and we explained to him and then he told us that he didn't know how long it takes for the potatoes to cook and some people go and do not want to wait we told him that's they could of told us how long was the wait and we could have waited but instead they did not do that. We don't understand how can a Manger not know how long to takes for the potatoes to be ready. Every owner of a restaurant should know how long the food takes and if it will be ready and especially let the customers know that it will take 5 min, 30 min or any amount of minutes and let the customer choose to wait or not. But instead they decide for us and just explained that it would of took a while and not a lot of people want to wait that long.
