We ordered the royal shrimp, fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and fish plate, with key lime pie for dessert. The staff was up front about the wait time being long, but the food was actually out about 15 minutes earlier than the one hour estimate. The dockside views were gorgeous and the food was all fantastic, with the royal shrimp and key lime pies particular highlights.

We’ve been several times to eat here and the food is always so fresh and so good! The owner is always working so hard to make sure customers are happy! I love to support locally owned businesses and see them thrive! My favorite thing to eat is the steamed shrimp! Definitely give Dockside a try!

Went to Dockside yesterday due to the reviews and we weren’t disappointed. The shrimp and fish were so fresh and DELICIOUS! The service was quick and very friendly and we will go back for sure next time we are on DI. Very reasonably priced and worth the trip!

One of the better food options on Dauphin Island. I got the blackened fish and enjoyed it. Everyone else seemed happy.

Maybe it's because we ate a little early and there was only one other table full at the time, but the vibe was sort of weak. Being so open, the place felt sort of drab. The patio overlooking the little bay was nice, just no one on it.

There is a separate bar above that you can go up to and order drinks, which is annoying, but fine. I am being critical, but would got back.

Took the ferry with my family to come check out Dauphin Island. After a trip to the aquarium we decided to drive around and waste time. We stumbled upon Dockside and boy I’m glad we did. We were greeted very nicely as we came in. The menu was very simple and prices were very reasonable for the portions received. The grilled shrimp tacos were amazing and come with a tasty mango salsa. My wife had the fried shrimp, and allowed me to try one and it was perfectly fried. Kids got the shrimp too and ate it all. If hungry and looking for a lunch/dinner, this place would be highly recommended by me. Dockside, thanks again for the delicious food and family friendly atmosphere.

We were visiting Fort Gaines & stopped here for dinner. Wonderful little seafood place with indoor & outdoor seating! It's very clean & the folks are so nice & welcoming. It wasn't busy at around 5 on Tuesday. We got a ½ lb. of both regular shrimp & royal reds. They came with a piece of corn & a red potato. We also got a side of cole slaw & hush puppies. All of it was hot (well, not the slaw) & delicious and came out pretty quick. If I lived here, I'd be here a lot!

I was very disappointed by this restaurant. It cost $40 for two people due to the prices. It was clear that the fries were just from a generic frozen bag. My shrimp tacos had delicious shrimp, but they were just thrown on iceberg lettuce and a tortilla. Definitely not worth the price. Then, the pie was a tiny slice for $4.50. The drinks aren't refillable. For that price, they expect you to just go to a refrigerator and get your drink out. This means there is no way to refill your water. It was kind of a greasy environment with low quality food for a high price.

Second time here, bronzed (lightly blackened) amberjack sandwich was very good! Additional sides are available so I traded the really good looking hand cut fries for collard greens, yum! Not the most friendly bartender but the manager was welcoming and warm. Thank you for a great lunch! Best wishes on the remodel.
