The most authentic cajun food that we have had outside of Louisiana. The boudin balls were delicious, the cajun platter, as well as the shrimp and grits are well worth the drive.
Don't sleep on this one, just get in you car and head on over!

The restaurant is quiet, clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere with nice decor. The burgers and fried catfish are very good. The gator bites had good flavor but were very chewy. The jumbalya was okay. Great customer service, the staff is very sttentive and keeps your drinks full.

Oh my GOODNESS this place was the BEST!! My husband and I just gobbled up the food and enjoyed every single bite. ???????? Our waitress was so wonderful and funny. This place is all of the best words in the dictionary combined (amazing , excellent , refreshing , fantastic, scrumptious) and good god almighty the bread pudding was so good it made me forget my name (my husband and I were wrestling for the last piece) We definitely will be coming back. I recommend this place if you want amazing Cajun food and Dessert. God bless the chef and his amazing cooking.????u200d????

We stopped by while visiting some family. Best Cajun food I have ever had outside of New Orleans, completely on par with NOLA.

-Fried catfish and jambalaya: great
-Shrimp and Grits: amazing
-Jumbo Ya-Ya: phenomenal

Wife had the red velvet cheese cake and I had the bourbon pecan pie. Mouth watering. We are already planning to visit again every time we are in town.

Good was delicious. Staff extremely nice and welcoming. The chef came out and introduced himself. The dessert were mouthwatering delicious. We drove a little over an hour just to try this restaurant and we were not disappointed
Definitely recommend and we'll be back!

We had a very good experience at JA Lil New Orleans. Very clean, nice service, and the food was great!
The Crawfish etouffee and Shrimp and Grits were very extremely yummy! Fried Shrimp were battered just right and the Chicken PoBoy was good. The Red Beans and Rice was excellent! The party that was with us said the fried tomatoes were fantastic, but were not to thrilled with the pasta dish...it was just ok. They had wished they had gotten the Crawfish etouffee. We will be back!

Gator bites (when available) were great! The homemade Cajun chips were really good. Everything else was ok. Blackened steaks: seasoning was too much, which is not unusual for blackened, but they were overcooked. Red beans and rice with Conecuh sausage: rice with beans, not much flavor and sadly, no sausage. Asparagus was fine, okra was ok. French bread was good. Service was ok, but the server seemed to be having a bad day: complaining about kitchen staff in front of the customers and generally kind of snarky. Overpriced for the value.

My wife and I went here for our first time. Absolutely amazing the food was delicious. I had the blackened snapper with rice and gumbo. Absolutely delicious. My wife went with the Zulu Burger and sweet potato fries. The fries were very good. The Burger was absolutely delicious. We will be back again. I highly recommend this place. Worth every penny. Authentic Cajun food..
