They were fair on price for an engine block. Off hours service was unbelievable. They answered the phone and came and opened the shop and had the item I was looking for.
It will be sad to see them go.

Would give the 0 stars if possible. Had them swap my jet unit to prop. They left out parts of the exhaust which caused the motor to run poorly. Also incorrectly installed the motor controls which caused them to bind up and break. When I dropped off the boat I was told it would be 2 weeks turn around, 6 weeks later after 10 phone calls they finally returned it with the above mentioned problems. I had to send it to The Boat Shop in Fairbanks to have it repaired correctly. The controller had to be replaced and the jet unit reinstalled. They found that Salcha Marine had left out/lost my exhaust manifold extension from the lower unit and installed it anyway. Do not trust them with your boat!!

Terrible. Don't go there. Left my boat out in the rain, a foot of water in it. Didn't fix half the stuff I asked them to.

The people at this place are incompetent. They also do not follow through on what they tell you they will do. I would not recommend them to do any work.
